HUG is a friendly ukulele group based in Hadleigh, Suffolk. It was launched in November 2016 by Peter Finch who continues to organise its regular meetings and performance events with the help of a small team of dedicated HUG members. Our aim is to have fun, share the music and make people smile.
We meet fortnightly to play and sing, learn new techniques, share music and just enjoy the company of fellow ukulele players.
Ukulele beginners and experienced players are welcome to join us at our regular Tuesday meetings any time.
Some of our more experienced members are available to play at charity or community events to help raise funds or just to make things go with a zing. So if you are organising something that you think would benefit from HUG's musical presence let us know and if we can we will happily oblige.
Regarding fees, if the event is for a charity then we don’t expect a fee. We are happy to play just for the fun of performing and entertaining. However, if it is a non-charity, community or private event then we are always happy to receive a donation, large or small, towards our adopted charity, the BBC's Children in Need.
